Pakistan Seals off a Historic Win Against India in Asia Cup 2022

What a match! What an absolute nail-biting match!

This is what T20 cricket is all about, intense, nail-biter, and totally unpredictable. Even during the second half of the second innings, I thought that India was going to take the lead 2-0. I am so glad that I was wrong.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first. India made 182-7 after a flying start. Has it had not been for Nawaz and Shadab, India would have crossed the 200+ mark, judging by the powerplay of Indian batting.

Naseem Shah, Muhammad Hussain, Haris Rauf, and Nawaz took one wicket each, while Shadab picked up two wickets.

King Kohli performed exceptionally well, making 60 off 44 balls. Rohit Sharma and Rahul did pick up the pace for team India, resulting in a dream start of 62 runs in the powerplay, however, the exceptionally bowling of Pakistani spinners made it impossible for India to cross the 200 mark.

In the second innings, Pakistan started off slowly, scoring only 44 in the powerplay. Babar Azam, wicket fell early, but Nawaz made sure to fill the gap by scoring 42 of just 20 balls.

Rizwan played exceptionally well, and scored 71 off 51 balls, Asif Ali played a crucial role during the second last over. Khushdil Shah and Iftikhar sealed off the match by scoring the finishing runs.

By winning against India, the Pakistan team has placed itself in a good position for qualifying for the final. They just need to win one more match, either against Afghanistan or Sri Lanka and they are very surely through.

A good game of cricket it was, both sides played good cricket but in the end, It was Pakistan who played more brilliantly against India, and won a historic match.
